Brookings Blum Roundtable

Better Than Cash Alliance’s Managing Director Ruth Goodwin-Groen participated at the Brookings Blum Roundtable on “Disrupting development with digital technologies.” Dr Goodwin-Groen and other experts discussed how the emergence of a new digital economy is changing the way in which businesses and development organizations engage in emerging and developing economies. In his policy paper, Dr Irving Wladawsky-Berger encourages the integration of poor people into digital networks as the digital revolution can redefine what it means to be poor. Ann Mei Chang from USAID discusses how development organizations, both government and non-government, can accelerate the digital revolution.
